Following on from the success of our first week in 2009, we present "Steep Vanoise II". How steep do you want to go? With 5 days of guiding & coaching we will aim to tackle some of the classic steep descents of the area. Last years highlights included, the North face of bellecote, North face of the Foglietta, and backside of Aiguille Rouge. This week will be 'gravity-assisted' ie we will use the lift systems as much as possible to maximise ski time however we may do some uphill (skinning) to access the best descents. Ski-touring equipment is required for this course. The ski area: Brides-les-Bains has a lift link to Meribel, at the heart of the massive 3 Valleys area. Also within easy reach are all the major Tarentaise resorts, with Tignes, Val D'Isere, St Foy, Les Arcs, La Plagne... This base gives us lots of scope to seek out the best snow and roam as far and wide as possible through the week. Please note: This week is sold as a 7 nights/5 days trip - ie the first day is a, un-guided warm-up day for skiers to find their legs in their own time.
